AIR PORT SUGGESTIONS: For our guests who prefer to fly in, the nearest airport is a two-hour
drive from the ranch and we suggest either the California Arcata/Mckinleyville
airport (ACV) or the Medford Oregon airport (MDF). Shuttle
service is available at $20/person each way ($100 minimum) and is free to guests staying
on our 5 night package. Some of our guests are reducing air-fare by flying to San Francisco California or Grants Pass Oregon and building a Pacific Coast driving vacation onto their Guest Ranch stay. We are happy to suggest interesting vacation targets for those doing the scenic drive in.
"I am writing to tell you what an absolutely splendid time Janet and I had at Marble Mountain Guest Ranch.
The physical beauty of your location, the comfort of the accommodations, the substantial and varied meals (along with an occasional gourmet surprise), the planned activities and the comradeship that quickly developed among guests and staff all came together to provide us with an experience we will long cherish. What I want you to know, though, is my opinion that what made the experience perfect was the two of you and your crew. I am always a little bit uncomfortable when being waited on and especially so when I have the feeling that the attention is more professional than spontaneous. What I felt from the moment we arrived until our departure on Saturday morning was that you were all doing things with us rather than for us.
My professional expertise is in psychology and sociology. Because of this, I tend observe individuals and groups with a professional eye. To watch a group of people who were, on Monday, strangers move from wary interaction through developing friendships to a sense of family in a few short days was truly astonishing. Janet and I send our love to every one of you. Please pass it on.
Thank you,
Redge Ranyard"
