Gift shop purchases, therapeutic massage, airport shuttles and gratuities are the only things not included in your fare. Gratuities (ranging from 5-15% on average) are voluntary, and divided equally among all staff including housekeeping staff.

ITINERARY: There are three separate scheduled events during each morning of your stay along with some free time to relax. Each day’s schedule includes a morning schedule block for trail rides and a second schedule block for arena games / “trail-kana” / lessons. You will also have a third morning schedule block for the shooting sports and frontier sports such as archery and tomahawk throwing before we break for lunch.

After lunch we raft/kayak a new stretch of the river on each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.    On Thursday afternoons we also offer exciting ranch events like branding, cider pressing, gold panning, ATV rides and more.

Each day we trail ride a new section of the wilderness and play new and exciting riding games in the arena. Our rafting/ kayaking events also cover a different stretch of the river on each trip.

Please note:   riders must be cleared by our wrangling staff prior to joining the adventure rides that mix faster gates such as the trot and the lope.   You mus be able to mount and dismount unassisted and you must be able to que your horse for a controlled start and stop at each of the faster gates.

Monday – arrival and check-in after 2:00 P.M., horse riding orientation, pool swimming, campfire games, hors d’oeuvres and dinner
Tuesday – Mornings offer trail-rides, arena games, and shooting sports.  Afternoon events include a choice of  either class II -III rafting and kayaking.
Wednesday -Morning horseback trail rides, more arena games, and shooting sports – afternoon class III kayak & raft trip with a thrilling hike to Ukanom Falls as part of the rafting excursion.
Thursday – Mornings on Thursday offer more new trail rides, arena games, and shooting sports at the range and new for 2017 paintball target shooting!   How cool is that!    Thursday afternoon ranch events include ATV rides (for participants 16 and older holding a valid drivers license) gold panning, fly casting lessons, cider pressing, branding activity (branding to make cedar signs), weaving lavender wands, optional handgun overview at the range (must be 13 years old) and more.  Thursday’s afternoon events are scheduled as a sign-up activity since there is not enough time to do all activity offerings.
Friday – morning trail rides, barrel racing and arena games, shooting range, afternoon class III rafting on the “rattle snake” run.
Saturday – A.M trail rides, shooting range “free shoot”, departure after lunch.

If you have “Young Buckaroos“, your child will be involved in wrangler led horse rides, ranch arts and crafts, feeding the small animals, swimming, and nature walks during the times that you are scheduled for activities that are not age appropriate for your buckaroo.

Before the Memorial Day holiday and after the Labor Day Holiday (shoulder seasons) we can rent our cabins a-la-carte without our all inclusive full service packages. All inclusive packages are still available in these shoulder seasons, but they are not required as in our prime season. If you need an a-la carte cabin rental during our “all inclusive” summer season, we suggest you consider our neighbors at Sandy Bar, they will take good care of you.

  1. Standard cabin : $165/night double occupancy plus $20/additional occupants.   If you arrange your meals in our dining lodge and do not cook in your cabin, you may reduce your cabin fare to $145/night plus $20/ additional occupants
  2. Quail’s nest Deluxe home: $275/night (less $20/night if meals are arranged in our lodge and you do not use the cabin kitchen) with a queen, full and bunk bed (would sleep 4 individuals in private beds or a family of 6-7) and has two full baths. Also includes lower level grandmother unit with one queen bed and one twin bed, and full ADA compliant bathroom.
  3. Sleepy Hollow Deluxe Home: $200/night (again, less $20/ night if the cabin kitchen is not used and you are arranging meals in our dining lodge)  with a queen, and two twin beds.

For our guests who prefer to fly in, the nearest airport is a two-hour drive from the ranch and we suggest either the California Arcata/Mckinleyville airport (ACV) or the Medford Oregon airport (MDF). Shuttle service is available at $250 / party for each shuttle direction and can be arranged for either airport or the hotels near the airports.  Shuttles depart Mondays between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. from either Medford or Arcata.  For return trips, the shuttles depart from the ranch at noon after lunch on Saturdays.  We can carry up to 6 people with reasonable luggage at this flat rate.  Group sizes exceeding 6 persons will require additional shuttle fees.  If you are unable to arrange flights to match our 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. pick-up limits please consider flying in the previous evening and staying in one of the local hotels.  We would then pick you up at the arranged times at your hotel on the following Monday.

Some of our guests are reducing air-fare by flying to San Francisco California or Grants Pass Oregon and building a Pacific Coast driving vacation onto their Guest Ranch stay. We are happy to suggest interesting vacation targets and California driving tours for those doing the scenic drive in.
